On March 4, 2018 were held the legislative elections in Italy. The iter that led to the adoption of the electoral law of November 3, 2017 as well as its contents make it possible to highlight, on the one hand, the reinforced role of the Constitutional Court and the President of the Republic in times of crisis; on the other hand, they reveal the incapacity of the legislator to respond to the societal expectations of an electoral reform guaranteeing more representation and governability.
